Our first "formal" close up show

Shin Lim is in town & will be joined by Magic Mike" Dardant, Alexander the Magician & Yours truly will be playing MC
It all starts at 7pm

Should be a wonderfilled night of enchanting magic.

After the performance, local magi are invited to stay for Shin Lims workshop.
(*an extra fee event)

The show is $15

Great afternoon jam session with Jon Racherbaumer & Shin Lim (superb chops & novel cardistry) was also very impressed with his choice of material when asked to perform for the staff: Shim busted out a killer ("updated") version of the classic Biddle trick (to > tat & then > mouth)

His handling of the hofsinser plot was another highlight (an effect I usually find to be a snoozer.)

Looking forward to his show & workshop tomorrow night at the Mystre Mansion

Had a blast at LA MAGIC Weekend

Emily (Conn , my youngest 11 y/o) joined me & kept everyone on their toes.

Decent day:
Started with a great parking spot (& that's always nice :)
$ was fair, smiles were abundant (<& that's more important inmy book.) There seems to be a large # of Europeans in town & I find they "understand" the way of the busker. More nice
Today I Worked with Niko, Alexander Osborn & Emmet (Windy City Wizard)... Yo: this town is chock full of good magic (& it's about to get more gooder ;) #mystremagic!
So hey, if you're close (or want a day vacay) & if you enjoy the variety arts; fill your pockets with 5's (or 10s & 20s *or 1s if that's all ya can swing) and go take a stroll thru Jackson Square and/or Royal St.
Prepare to be impressed.
I suggest a pit stop @ "Royal Blend coffee house." (500 block of Royal St) Good joe , nice courtyard & Wifi; a "local" kinda spot. See ya there!
Nice to be done w/work & home by 3 for the kiddo ... I'm lucky (but they do say "ya make your own luck!)
