Look for the third / over the shoulder clip... I think it's the best way to learn this thing.
Good luck.

Curious and New from CARC

I just downloaded the Conjuring Arts Research Center's latest "Summer Arts Reading" offering:
The Discoverie of Witchcraft (a .pdf copy of one of the original 250 1st editions)
I look forward to working through the tome. I hope some some of you have taken the opportunity they offered many months ago (that I blogged about several weeks ago! ;)

So...
While there, I clicked their "Curious and New" button
wow

There are some AMAZING / MAGICAL  things on this page
(that have nothing to do with 'magic' as we know it)

Richard Wiseman vanishing a Skull
Chinese Boxing Cards
Michael Moschen's Ted Talk (and more)

The page is chock full of interesting stuff &
If you're into the variety arts, the collection of videos (etc) is must watch internet TV

Check it out:

Lecture Run part 1 August / 2013

Well, the first leg of my lecture run is in the history books
I've been busy non-stop, crossing 6 states in 5 days (and criss crossing time zones!)
Hence the lack of posting (I have more breaks on this next leg and will try to be more prudent about putting some words up on the net).

There was lots to learn and lots to love and I did alot of each:

Monday August 26 – Atlanta, GA –
What a GREAT group to kick things off! Thank You ATL!
Tuesday August 27 – Jacksonville, FL
Wonderful City, Wonderful Group, Thanks!
Wednesday August 28 – Birmingham, AL
Magished “The Magic City” Booyah! Nice group of fellas. Felt right at home.
Thursday August 29 – Knoxville, TN
Knoxville has some Serious Magi!  Impressive Group! Had a Blast!
Friday August 30 – Murfreesboro, TN
A beautiful city that turned out to be my Kryptonite! Still had a fun / laughable time!
The kind group was very supportive & what doesn’t kill you only makes ya stronger!
I came away from these first five lectures with many notes and I've got ALOT of work ahead of me over the next five days before leaving again. But, I wouldn't trade this kind of work for anything in the world. I love what I do and wouldn't have it any other way. I'm honored and humbled that my presence is worth your time and I thank each and every face I saw while I was on this tour.
I got an interesting call before leaving ( and again in Knoxville from a casting agent) apparently one of the big movie studios is in need of some faces and hands for a major motion picture thats filming here this month. Unfortunately, due to my lecture schedule it looks like  I might be missing the shoot! we'll see... They're also shooting a bit in Oct.)
I'm happily resting at home this Sunday 9/01/13 (and just reached to shuffle a pack before realizing I haven't put anything online in a week and felt the need to catch up a bit... for the history books if nothing else.
So, tonight I get to catch up on the AGT episodes I missed and then onward to the "Breaking Bad" finale which is heating up nicely ;)  On that note, I've got bout an hour before it's time  to do nothing... so, maybe I'll go grab a siesta to make sure I'm awake for my stories :)
Nice to be relaxing a bit ;)
Conn... gone
